One Good Thing About Music...

Music: noun, often attributive \ˈmyü-zik\

  • a : the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity
  • b : vocal, instrumental, or mechanical sounds having rhythm, melody, or harmony

Some say music makes the world go 'round. I concur.

Ever hear a song randomly come on the radio and BAM you're instantly back into a specific time in your life? The power of music.

Music is a huge part of my life. I can remember riding in the car as a teeny, tiny Tarole singing along to the music on the radio. I was pretty much singing and humming before I could talk. As most of you as well, there are so many songs that remind me of an exact moment in time.

You get the point. Music is so beautiful. Any kind. My love of music varies all the way from classic instrumental to folk to hip hop to dubstep. If it has a beat or melody that I can sway along to, I like it. Of course, certain moods will inspire certain genres, but all in all, music definitely makes my world go 'round.

Music can drive emotions. It can change moods.

Any time I'm feeling down, I put on music. Any time I'm feeling up I put on music. There's just something about singing along to a song that makes you feel carefree and on top of the world. Am I the only one? It's interesting to pull up next to someone at a stoplight and hear the kind of music they're listening to. You can tell a lot about someone from their favorite song.

Music = Peace. It is the only thing, in my opinion that can bring the world together. Each country has a deep understanding of it and each country has their own beautiful music that tells their story.

Do you have a favorite song? What kind of music do you like most?

"You Were Meant For Me" by Jewel always brings back memories...all of us used to sing that in elementary school, even though we were too young to be dating.

I whole-heartedly agree, Tarole! I've been singing almost my whole life. I have a 30 minute commute to work, and sometimes, I listen through my CD collection. So many songs take me back to college or high school, or remind me of a boyfriend or friend. I love taking the journey down memory lane. And when I don't know what to say, I can somehow find a song to say it for me.

Music definitely can bring me back to a certain moment.

I Cross My Heart is my aunt and uncle's wedding song, so I always text them when it comes up on the radio or on my Pandora.

Honey I'm Home by Shania Twain is a song that my Dad and I always jammed to getting ready in the mornings!

Definitely country is my fave!
