Fourth of July Fashion

Fourth of July.

One of the best things about Summer. Not only does it celebrate our American history and independence, but it is also another day to have an excuse to a) not work b) party hard and c) shoot fireworks :)

Ok, not that we really need an excuse for any of that.. One thing I love about the Fourth of July is all of the red, white, and blue. America the beautiful. I decided to put together some looks I would rock if the internet was magical and I could somehow Apparate (oh yea, Harry Potter reference) these styles into my closet. Accio clothes!

Being a good American, there are a few definite ways one should celebrate our independence...

1) Somewhere near or on a large body of water.

Body of water essentials..
  • Lake/ocean - or I guess a pool will due
  • Bikini
  • Tunic/cover up
  • Hat
  • Shades
  • Sunscreen
  • Sandals
  • Towel
  • Bag
  • Beer
  • Koozie
  • Tunes
And the extra accessories (jewelry and nail polish) just add to it :)

2) Barbecue

Barbecue essentials:

  • American flag apparel
  • Shades
  • Bag
  • Beer
  • Appetite
Barbecues are one of my favorite things about the 4th of July.

3) Fireworks

Fireworks essentials:

  • American Flag apparel
  • Blanket
  • Bag
  • Beer
  • Sparklers

Independence Day would not be complete without fireworks of any sort.

This will be my first year celebrating on the beautiful island. I usually take this time to travel back to my home state of Arkansas to see my family for the holiday. I'm pretty excited about celebrating on a beach, I am off work and am ready for Floatilla! And even though we all party like it's 1999 (or maybe 2013 :P) we all need to remember the real reason for this holiday. The birth of our nation! God Bless America

What are you doing for the 4th?

Love those outfits! We were invited to go tubing on the morning of the 4th. I'm really looking forward to it! I really love the headband in the BBQ picture!
