Ornament Swap 2012

I love the Holidays - don't you?

Last month I signed up for the Ornament Swap hosted by Laura, Stephanie, Jessica and Whitney.

I ended up getting paired with Hannah from Our Journey who lives in Texas! I was pretty excited and super anxious to see what she would send me.

After emailing back and forth and getting to know Hannah, I found the perfect ornament to send her that helped showcase beautiful Hawaii, as well as have special meaning to her.

Wellll silly me dropped the ball and didn't actually take a picture of the ornament I was sending her. Basically, it was a bulb, full of Hawaiian sand and some seashells, but I also had hers, her hubs, and her baby boy's names written on it. I loved it and was so excited to send it to her!

Hannah outdid herself - she didn't just send me one, but TWO ornaments!

She also did a MUCH better wrapping job than I did :)

I absolutely love the one on the right and the pickle is equally as beautiful and also has a good story behind it! You hide it in the tree and whoever finds it will have good luck all year long! How neat :)

My tree is teeny tiny, so please excuse these next few photos. Our apartment is miniture and there are three of us, needless to say, this is the biggest we could do :)

Can you see the pickle? :P

Told you it was itty bitty! Yes, it is on top of our kitchen counter!

Thanks SO much Hannah! I love them and they will blend in perfectly on my already random teeny, tiny Christmas tree :)

We "hide the pickle" every year at my parents' house! We actually have two pickle ornaments and when we were younger we used to get an extra little gift if we found we just get bragging rights. So cute!

I love your little tree!! Seriously... SO cute!!

My Grandma has always had us grandkiddos look for the pickle on Christmas ever and we've grown up knowing that it gives whoever finds it good luck for the year. It'll definitely be a fun tradition to pass down. :)

Loving your blog! Can't wait to keep up with you! XO!
